Millennials Remember 9/11

by Blake Sunshine on September 11, 2009

Millennials remember 9/11. It was a defining moment for our generation, as we sat in schools across the country and watched the towers fall. I remember the exact class I was in and the exact person who told me what happened. I remember my teachers turning on the TV and I remember watching the coverage.

Millennials no longer felt safe in their worlds. In that moment, Millennials grew up.

In memory of those who lost their lives during 9/11 I would like to announce the winner of my blog’s charity challenge. There was a tie for first place, so I will award two charities a $100 prize.

Congratulations to First Book and OneFamily Fund. My readers spoke highly of your causes, and I am sure you deserve this contribution.

Millennials will forever remember 9/11 like it was yesterday. Millennials never forget.

Does that mean there’s a tie for second place as well? I have a $50 second prize that I’d like to commit to a deserving organization as well.

Yes Emilie, there is a tie for second. I think you should check out the blog post and pick the charity you find most deserving!
