Well today it finally happened. At 9:42 pm CDT, I got the Facebook stream. Facebook made the announcement last week that they would be making changes in the home page and usability of your Facebook account through the addition of the steam.
So far these are the main differences I can see:
1. Status updates- Facebook has moved to the Twitter model. Instead of having it say “Blake is…” it now says “What is on your mind?”
2. Addition of the “X” to your stream- You are now able to literally X someone off of your stream. Sick of hearing about a certain girl from high school? Just X her out.
3. Easier news feed separation- It is now easier to separate content, such as photos, videos and certain networks on your news feed. For example, I can see only updates from profiles of my friends in the Texas network.
These are just the updates I have noticed immediately, more updates to come as I spend more time using my new stream.
