Family is the most important thing

USA Today once called Millennials the “family-first generation,” noting the generational shift that has caused many members of Gen-Y to rank their families first in importance before their jobs.

In Carol Phillips blog, Millennial marketing, she cites a study conducted by the College Board of high school students. According to Phillips, “In the study  77 percent of students nationwide say “raising a family” is an “essential” or “very important” life objective. In 1977, by comparison, just 59 percent of students gave the same level of importance to raising a family.”

To Millennials, family is everything, which is why I am beyond excited for my brother’s wedding this weekend.

My brother and I are super close and I am very happy to be welcoming his future wife Maya to our family.

I think we look like sisters already.
