When I’m at work I feel really young. Someone will mention an 80′s one-hit wonder or joke about a TV show from their childhood and I pretty much feel like a baby, even though most of my coworkers are no more than 5-10 years older than me. Which is why I was amazed when I saw that Pew Research had done an awesome study on the gap between how old you are and how old you feel.
As you can see on the graph below, Millennials are pretty much the only age group that feel as old as they actually are.

So even though I sometimes feel young, most Millennials feel exactly their age.
Millennials also believe that the average age of “old” people is lower than what other generations say is “old.” This didn’t surprise me at all, because I pretty much consider most people who aren’t Millennials old.

Millennials may not feel younger than they are, but maybe we only feel our age because we would be unhappy if we were any older.

Millennials are happy to be young, but are not happy with having to grow up.
So to wrap up it, Millennials feel their age, think everyone else is old and don’t want to grow up. Over generalization or the truth? I guess the research doesn’t lie.
