Brazen Careerist just came out with their list of Top Gen Y Companies. Which was especially interesting to me, because I think that Millennials love or hate their jobs for the same reasons as everyone else.
But regardless, I was sort of mad that the company I work for, National Instruments, wasn’t on the list. NI heavily recruits and hires tons of new grads every year, including more than 50 percent of its interns for permanent positions in 2008. It really is an amazing place to work for Millennials and members of many other generations.
Don’t take my word for it though. Ask Fortune, who voted NI ten years in a row one of the best companies to work for. Or ask Glassdoor.com who voted NI the second best tech company to work for over Google, Apple and Rackspace.
Which leads me to believe that Brazen Careerist must not know about National Instruments, or that the list is fixed. Because lets be honest, how could Pepsi be a great place to work? (I’m kidding Pepsi people, please don’t sue me. I’m sure you really are a great place to work, I just don’t know how you all get through the day without a diet coke.)
What other companies should be on the list of top Gen Y companies?
